Nicolò Giacomini
Computer Engineer (Barcelona)
Ciao, I'm Nicolò! I'm an Italian Computer Engineer based in Barcelona, currently working as a Research Engineer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).
Following my Master's at UPC, my work focuses on distributed systems and HPC. Specifically, I work on building non-intrusive profilers for the COMPSs framework, contributing to Provenance Storage architecture improvement using Docker and REST APIs, and packaging metadata with standards like RO-Crate. I also explore machine learning approaches to predict workflow execution times and improve resource allocation.
I'm a machine learning and networks systems enthusiast, and Python lover. I also enjoy web and software development. I'm using this space to share the most interesting things I'm working on and learning along the way.
